Applyo Jena develops and produces freeze-dried reagents for in-vitro diagnostics, life science research and pharmaceuticals. Applyo Jena's core products are the Lyo-Beads - lyophilized master mixes containing all essential reagents for performing molecular assays based on PCR, isothermal amplification technologies and immunological assays. The beads are premixed, designed for a single reaction, ready to use and immediately resuspendable. The shelf life of the beads is over 3 years when stored at room temperature. For our partners in the diagnostic industry, Applyo Jena is the specialist for the development of customised molecular assays and suitable freeze-dried formulations as well as for the production of the beads in large scale and batch size. The development of a semi-automated, modular and sterile manufacturing technology for lyophilized reagent beads is supported by funding from the European Union and the Freistaat Thüringen. This will enable Applyo Jena to offer its future pharmaceutical products in accordance with GMP standards.
