2021年9月30日に、本ファンドの第十九号案件として株式会社ビードットメディカル（代表取締役社長 古川 卓司）に対して投資を実行しました。 同社は、国立研究開発法人量子科学技術研究開発機構放射線医学総合研究所（以下、「放医研」といいます。）認定のベンチャー企業であり、放医研で培った高度な技術と経験を活かし、小型陽子線がん治療装置を開発しています。陽子線がん治療は、周囲の正常な細胞や臓器へのダメージを低く抑えることができる一方、治療装置の巨大かつ高額な点が普及の妨げになっており、現状は治療できる施設が限られております。かかる背景を受けて、同社は、従来の装置から大幅な小型・低価格化を実現し、既存のX線治療室のサイズに合わせて、装置の導入・置き換えを可能にすべく装置開発を進めています。
