SCiO molecular sensor fits in the palm of your hand! With SCiO, you can scan materials and get instant relevant information directly to your smartphone.
SCiO captures information about the chemical make up of the physical world around you. You can get nutritional facts about different kinds of food: Dairy products, fruits and vegetables. Identify capsules containing medicine and nutritional supplements and more.
Our Business
Consumer Physics was founded in 2011 by Dror Sharon and Damian Goldring. Consumer Physics is a diverse, multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers and designers. We are insatiably curious about the world and passionate about empowering our users with smart sensors that inform, inspire and delight.
Our first product, SCiO, is a sleek molecular sensor called a spectrometer. Up until now spectrometers have been large, expensive devices used in professional environments and laboratories. We have radically miniaturized this established technology, making it affordable and accessible to everyone.
Our Mission
We believe that knowledge is power, and power should be shared.
Our mission is to make state of the art technology affordable and accessible, empowering everyday users with objective knowledge to make better decisions.
Our Brand
SCiO is about indulging curiosity. It is about uncovering the mysteries right under our nose. It is about the thrill of discovery, and about the insatiable desire we all have to know more about the world around us.
