Freedom Preparatory Academy is a public charter school established in 2009. The mission of Freedom Prep Academy is to prepare all students in grades Pre-K - 12 to excel in college and in life. Freedom Prep offers an individualized and rigorous instructional program for each of its students with a diverse array of academic enrichment activities.

For the past two years, Freedom Prep has earned the title of the #1 Tennessee Public School for Reading/Language Arts Growth and Top 50 for Math Growth in Tennessee. Additionally, Freedom Prep Academy is the #1 Performing Public Middle School in Whitehaven/Westwood for Composite Growth with average growth scores more than double of those of surrounding neighborhood schools.

Freedom Prep is a member of the Excellent Schools Network (ESN), a select group of schools that have demonstrated strong academic results, sound organizational practices, and the genuine ability to close the achievement gap in their communities.
