The family business based in Königsbach-Stein, founded by Oswald Frey and Emil Winkler in 1957, has earned an excellent reputation as a component supplier for medical equipment. F&W stands for precision components in silicone, plastic and metal, for medical technology customers including the ophthalmic industry. The core competency is to be found in the manufacture of predominantly small and ultra-small components of liquid silicone rubber (LSR). A further focal area is the processing of thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers. F&W provides advice on material selection and accompanies developments from design through prototyping to series production. With its own toolmaking shop, F&W provides optimum conditions for rapid, functional and cost-effective production solutions. F&W Frey & Winkler GmbH made arrangements for corporate succession at an early stage, and with the support of the equity capital partner HANNOVER Finanz as the sole shareholder, completely transferred its operational business to the management.
