Healome Therapeutics is a Birmingham (UK) based healthcare company developing treatments for restoring function in diseased and damaged tissues, with a current focus on ocular surface diseases. We engineer and locally deliver 'pro-healing' micro-environments to tackle some of the most notoriously challenging conditions known to have biological, chemical and physical drivers or pose significant drug delivery and retention challenges. ​ Our current therapies in the ocular surface disease area behave like a clear bandage you apply and forget about like a normal eye drop. Our mission in eye care is to drive big advancements in how eye conditions with a disproportionately huge impact on quality of life are treated in the clinic and managed by patients within their daily lives. We aim to create products offering more effective and longer lasting relief, that address drivers of the condition, and that are practical to use by patients and clinicians. In doing so, we will support healthcare systems to address future eye health challenges sustainably and to empower people to lead healthier and more independent lives.
