is a leading producer of malt, blended and grain whisky. Established in Scotland in 1842, the business remained in family ownership until Exponent acquired it in 2014.
Having built a buy-in plan with Operating Chairperson Nick Rose and CEO Colin Matthews - the former CFO of Diageo and former MD International Markets for Imperial Tobacco, respectively - Nick and Colin then assembled a team of former Diageo and Imperial Tobacco executives in order to deliver our strategic agenda.
We were attracted to Loch Lomond by the opportunity to transform the business into a branded, international malt and grain whisky producer.
The business was acquired in June 2019 by Hillhouse Capital for an undisclosed sum.
