OMNI TONE is a modular home audio speaker designed to counter premature obsolescence in consumer electronics. While most speakers fail due to short-lived electronics, OMNI TONE separates long-lasting components from easily replaceable modules, enabling repair, upgrades and refurbishment by users. Targeting the CHF 400-600 segment, it combines high-quality omnidirectional sound with a reversible, glue-free construction. This architecture extends product lifetime, reduces e-waste, and lowers lifetime costs, while enabling a viable service model based on spare parts and refurbishment rather than full product replacement.
