In May 2016, we invested in Uzuri K&Y Designs - a small shoe manufacturing business, where we saw real potential for growth and impact. The business is owned and run by Kevine and Ysolde - two incredibly committed and talented young women. Kevine and Ysolde were looking for capital to be able to improve the quality of their products and to increase production to meet the demand. Equally important, they were seeking strategic advice and access to expertise and connections within the fashion industry. We are now working together to improve production and create a long-term sustainable business, generating financial returns.
